Ginger Turner was born and raised in the small town of Clarksville, VA (on Buggs Island Lake/
Kerr Lake) where most of her family still resides. After graduating high school, she attended Radford University to earn her degree in Elementary Education (K-6). She moved to Wilmington, NC with her husband where they didn’t know a soul, and had a teaching career as an Exceptional Children’s Teacher for 17 years at a local middle school. She has developed many lasting relationships there and frequently visits. In 2020, her family moved to Surry County, another location she had no ties to, but she has quickly adjusted and has been teaching 6th grade Math at Mount Airy Middle School for 4 years. She has also worked as a waitress at Luna’s Trail Farm and Event Center/ The Big Creek Lodge in Westfield, NC for 3 years. She assists with weddings and special events at Luna’s in addition to working in the restaurant.
Ginger loves working in industries with high levels of interpersonal interaction.
Ginger is a wife to a disabled Navy veteran. Her daughter attends East Surry High School and Surry Community College and her son attends Mount Airy Middle School. The majority of her family still lives in Southern VA and she’d like to pursue her license in VA as well. She also is involved in her church, Freedom & Liberty in Pilot Mountain and facilitates Fellowship of Christian Athletes at her school. From sea level to the Foothills and beyond, Ginger loves outdoor activities like hiking, paddle boarding in lakes and the Intracoastal waterway, skiing, snowboarding, and photography. She’s so excited to begin her career in Real Estate in Surry County and the surrounding areas. She’s continuing to teach until retirement, but is transitioning to real estate now so she’ll be ready to jump into this next career full time. She has a driven personality, acute attention to detail, and passion for helping others. She’s looking forward to empowering members of her community find a place they will love to call home.
